YESSSS...it's monday!
last week: laughter
this week: movement
you guys must have espn or something...
Cari: I like how the focus is on your work. Typically when there is a body (a person) present they are the attention, focus, center, blah blah. But, considering it's your show it's as if everything in your art's surroundings falls short of the attention given to your cute pieces of wood covered with your creative goodness. I also really like the red. It pops on that dull yellow wall. & it's also in tandem with your red house.
Amy: I love this shot of this cute little man washing windows. He's smack in the center of the photo, which is typically a compositional faux pas, BUT it totally works because he's surounded by lots of interesting stuff. Such as, the vertical lines of the window leading your eye with also the body upwards, which also coincides with the stretch of his body--all leading up. I also love how symetrical the lines are in the window, yet outside there are all these lovely organic flowing lines with the trees. It's a lovely contrast between man's formulated construction and a natural free flowing piece of the earth. The slight color of blue and red is very nice too. : ) I like it.
Window washer dude is intentionally in the middle of the shot, because he wouldn't normally be there. All lighting and lines stick to the rule of thirds, but since he's an addition to the normal view from Bluebird, he's awkwardly and noticeably in the center, throwing off your visual equilibrium.
Wow, quite an intellectual photo conversation happening here! You all sound smart....you are smart.
Casey, you are hysterical.
. . . also, where's the new post?? I'm anxious.
